I nearly passed on buying this cookbook, because I was afraid it would be mostly sandwiches. I am delighted to have purchased it.THE WRITING & EDITING: This is well thought out and organized. Information provided for each recipe includes Prep Time; Cook Time; Serving Quantity; and nutritional information per serving. In addition, the layout is easy on the eyes and, with only a few exceptions, can be complete on a single page so the recipe can be screen shot and/or printed on your computer to make use and sharing super easy.I have only one minor wish – more color photographs. Those provided are truly mouth-watering, but are used primarily to separate sections of the book – such as section seven, Meat, versus section eight, Dessert. Before we move on here, I must mention the amazing Avocado Chocolate Mousse, as it sounds bizarre but is stunningly tantalizing! That is my way of informing you that there are entrees in this book that you would have to search pretty hard to find elsewhere, unless you are a google whiz.Instead of an excerpt I am attaching a couple of screen shots.BOTTOM LINEFive stars out of five.I am striving to produce reviews that help you find books that you want, or avoid books that you wish to avoid. My children are grown so most of the time it's just the two of us again. I have dozens of cookbooks purchased over the years and rarely use any of them these days. I tend now to search online when I don't have an idea for a meal. I however, follow the “Greens and Chocolate blog and love her ideas and style of cooking. So when I read she was creating a cookbook, I became interested.Having ordered both the print copy and the Kindle version I found myself reading it from cover to cover immediately. It's extremely easy to follow, well designed and nearly every recipe interested me. She includes preparation and cook times for each of the recipes. The tone of the book is very friendly. You almost feel like she is right next to you as she suggests tips and substitutions for individual tastes. You can almost feel her excitement for food preparation.Layout is clean, clear and reader friendly. Each section starts with a narrative. Ellingson shares her knowledge in a friendly, conversational way which for me, is part of the enjoyment. It is so refreshing to read a cookbook written in this style.A few people on my Christmas list will be receiving a copy. It is a gem!

This cookbook has a lot of fun recipes and ideas, and most of the nutritional information is available which is a must for me. I really like a lot of the flavors in the book, and there's a lot of variety. My main issue with it is that there aren't many pictures at all, and the book advertises "healthy" recipes, yet several of the recipes are 800 calories per serving, without sparing any fat or carbs for that matter. Still, overall a good book.

My wife and I ordered the Kindle version of this book and loved it so much that we just bought a handful of the hardcopies for Christmas gifts. The recipes are so wonderfully diverse, with healthy and common ingredients, and truly take less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend!

I love quick, easy, healthy recipes with minimal ingredients and prep times. Taylor has created a recipe book with all of my likes in one book. These recipes are very easy to follow and taste amazing! I can’t wait to try more. I like that she adds to each recipes substitutions you could add to make it even healthier or reduce cook time even more. The Hawiian bbq chicken sliders are delicious and perfect for my family of 3.

While its edible (even for humans), there are way too many "shortcuts" that don't actually reduce cooking time too much. For example, I would never normally use garlic powder in a recipe. The bean tacos sound good but have no texture. Cooking well requires fresh ingredients and some time. Someone recommended this to me and so I decided to give it a try. However, I highly recommend that you don't.

We had sauteed chicken with lemon for dinner yesterday. It was made quickly and was tasty.

Great recipes and easy to make! Will be adding this cookbook to my regular rotation!
