This is a great book by a great author. He really did his research.
As someone who has never taken any kind of economics class in my life, I truly appreciate Zitron’s approach to the subject. He gives real-world application as often as possible, and he seems to have his finger on the pulse of the average plight of American families. It makes perfect sense to me how water is an undervalued commodity, one that we consider free to all, and therefore something that we have forgotten about in terms of how its availability and potability affect the value of everything that requires water, from produce to electronics. A truly eye-opening book, and very important for readers in this day and age.
Waconomics is an extremely timely, thought-provoking read. For those interested in the changing geopolitics of access to clean water via climate change and environmental justice, and how we can take proactive, practical steps to become better global citizens. Zitron's first book lays the foundation for important discussions and points to needed policy changes to keep ourselves, and our kids healthy and safe.
