After so many years of working in a certain industry you begin to realize that you understand it all and yet you no longer remember how any of it actually works. After 28 years of working with control systems I saw myself looking back at my past projects and realized that I didn't remember how they work. This text is well written and was the perfect refresher that I needed. It's good for beginners while at the same time not a complete waste of time for a seasoned pro. Highly recommend.

I use this type of book on a day to day use. It helps me troubleshoot the various things I work on daily. It completely sucks because after paying a huge price for this brand new book it showed up and had pages falling out plus it looks like it is barely put together at all. I don't think it will last no more than two weeks at most. If you are considering using this book as a text book or for anything else besides a door stop Do Not get this book.

This book was hard to answer its own questions from. So hard that the instructors are not using it next summer semester. Sad when the author makes you have to go on the internet to find and get answers.

The content of the book was informing. My only complaint is a new book should not have pages Falling out all throughout the book. Makes reading it difficult with pages falling out

This book was a discarded library copy, but well preserved, and my grandson has enjoyed it. I really like its patriotic nature.

Although the text appears geared for early primary, the detail of the pictures suggests middle elementary students may enjoy singing the song along with the pictures. The book will give some understanding of colonial times and revolution.

This one and "Rip Van Winkel" with illustrations by John Howe both belong with the revolutionary war unit. Their illustrations of the clothing and settings of the 1770's in America are superb.This book gives you illustrations for the song "Yankee Doodle" that track one little boy. Good illustrations of period clothing and lots of surprises on every page. Includes the music for "Yankee Doodle" and a history of the song at the back. Also includes a glossary of the words in the song, and gives some context.Well done book.

For a textbook, which it obviously is, this is rather a lazy piece of work. There are no introductions to the authors or the plays, and very few undergraduates will find the level of annotation anything like sufficient.Norton let us down with this one.

Used for an online graduate course. Nice little collection, good side information too.

I'm a huge fan of Restoration comedy, and recommend this book to anyone looking into Restoration for classic texts.

The only text I was required to read for class in this book was "The Way Of The World", which is an utterly confusing play. Also, I kind of wish there was more biographies instead of just the plays because I think that would have helped me gain perspective on where the author was coming from?

I didn't like this book. I had to get it for my British Lit class. The thing is, most of these plays you can get online for free. The book just offers the text, with little analysis to go with it.

My youngest daughter - in college - seems very well pleased with this selection... like the professor gave her a choice, right?

This book is fanatasic it did help a bit with our marriage and after a 6 year separation we are back together. I do highly recommend watching fire proof first to get the mistakes that caleb makes when doing this and what to possibly expect from your spouse. Do not expect a miracle over night. It takes time effort and faith and a better relationship with God.

Book Review:I'm so grateful I took this leap of faith. My boyfriend and I are trying it as we are dating with intention of marriage. I absolutely love the change I'm seeing within myself which ultimately is changing the way he reacts to me. I went into this book thinking he was the one who needed it more but I was corrected on day 1. It's teaching me to be kind and serve him without expecting anything back. He has told me he sees my efforts and it makes him want to be a better man. I won't lie, some days are easier than others but this book has helped guide us to let go and let God. We have both slowed down on magnifying what the other person is not and are appreciating everything the other person has to offer. We're picking our battles and processing truth verses feelings.Despite small bickering, we haven't argued since we started this book because we are learning and finally BOTH willing. This is just an absolutely amazing book. I bought it the first time in hardcover three years ago...it sat on my shelf because God wasn't ready for me nor was I willing to really invest. When you start it...there's NO EXCUSE. Read it for forty days and do every single thing it says, whether or not its hard or not. What I learned? How to unconditionally love my wife!!Women, READ IT! Are you the wife you need to be? Do you know how to be a wife? Probably not. We all get married and just move on. How do we learn to be a husband or wife? We usually don't and then find excuses to blame our failed marriage. If you question whether or not you are loving someone, when you say, "I really love them", but it's just not working. Then change it.Our society is so focused on allowing us to be right and us being scared to back down and say, "I'm wrong, I love you, and I don't want to hurt you". I bought this for a friend of mine whose marriage was on jagged rocks. The ideas and intentions are good, but the 2 guys I sent this to, quickly found that it doesn't work as well as it did for the author.If I remember correctly, the author began changing his behaviors and did these things, pretty much out of nowhere, and by keeping to this book, his wife changed her attitude also, their marriage turned around, and became Christ-centered. But it was very different for both my friends. They each received the book with joy, began keeping to it, but their wives were both skeptical and didn't receive their actions positively. Today, neither of them are married any longer to the woman they bought it for.So don't look at this book as an easy fix for your marriage or your relationship with your wife. Instead, use it WITH other means (get involved together with a church group, pray together, read the Bible (separately and together), Christian marriage counseling, join a group at church that's going through the book together, etc.). Jesus needs to be the center of the marriage as a whole, and both of your lives.

It provides a lot of Biblical basis for a strong marriage along with scriptural references on the advice given. Not at all what I expected. It's more about changing yourself internally than fixing your mate.

My husband doesn't really notice a lot of things and he doesn't know i am doing this, but it has helped me to see him differently and i am thankful for that.
